Primus search portal

The Primus search portal is the central search interface of the University Library of the Humboldt-Universiät for the subject searches in its holdings. Equipped with modern search technology, you can quickly and effectively search in Primus and directly access full texts or get to the books. The search includes the classic printed holdings of a traditional online catalogue, but also our extensive e-book packages and many articles from electronic journals. The search area "HU Catalogue, articles and more" is based on the Central Discovery Index. Please also see our video tutorials (in German only) and search tips on Primus.

The Cooperative Library Network Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) allows you to search simultaneously the catalogues of all university libraries and public libraries as well as numerous research, public authority and special libraries in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVK) allows you to search simultaneously all German union catalogues as well as numerous international catalogues.

Via the website of the Regensburger Verbundklassifikation (RVK), you can narrow down a search area thematically and then perform a corresponding search in the catalogue of the HU University Library.

In the German Union Catalogue of Serials (ZDB) you can search for magazines and newspapers throughout Germany and find out which volumes are available in the libraries. Regarding Berlin and Brandenburg libraries, please note the regional abbreviation BER.
