Catalogues

Old stock

Our library holdings are referenced via the Primus search portal. If books or theses published before 1908 are not yet included in Primus, there are conventional catalogues in which these holdings may be listed.

In the Grimm Centre, these catalogues are located on the ground floor next to the information desk, behind the wooden columns. If you identify a book or university publication that is not yet listed online, please make a note of the author, title and call number to order. The order is placed using our old stock mask.

Journals must be ordered using a loan slip. Loan slips are available at the information desk. Journals can also be ordered by email at info@ub.hu-berlin.de, stating journal title, year, year of publication and user number, or by telephone at 2093 99370 during opening hours.

Alphabetical Catalogues

If you search for the location or call number of a known item, you should check the

  • Microfiche Catalogues:

    • green edge, 1909-1974

    • purple edge, authors' catalogue 1466-1966

    • transparent edge, anonymous items 1466-1966

    • yellow edge, theses until 1974

All microfiche items are available at the Information Desk at the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm Zentrum.

Besides, there are a number of card catalogues of branch libraries which have recently moved into the Jacob-und-Wilhelm Grimm-Zentrum.
