The monographies and journals on Computer Science are almost entirely labelled according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme (RVK). The call numbers begin with letter combinations from SQ (journals) to SU (popular).
The holdings in detail:
Open Access Shelving: The area on the ground floor (EG) containing purple-marked holdings constitutes the main holdings of Computer Science (SQ-SU). Additionally, you can also find theses (habilitations, dissertations, and diploma theses) sorted by year. The Economics holdings are shelf marked with Q (orange label) and those belonging to Electrical Engineering can be found in the gallery (Area Z).
Textbook Collection: Multiple copies of important introductory literature and textbooks are located here. These books can only be borrowed by members of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. As a rule, every book in the textbook collection has one internal copy and at least one copy available for issue.
Closed Stacks: Old stock, which has not been relabelled according to the RVK, is stored here. It can be ordered via Primus.
Rare Stacks (Rara-Magazin): Specially sensitive holdings are shelved here, such as dissertations and habilitations stored as archive copies, as well as special singletons. These holdings can only be accessed in the Rara Reading Room, reproduction is only possible via ordered copy or scan.
