Textbook collection (EG, area A): Contains multiple copies of relevant introductory works and textbooks. The books can be checked out by students of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Journal displays (1. OG, area A): Here, the unbound current journal issues are being displayed. Journals can generally not be borrowed, many of them are however available online. Periodicals for Library and Information Science can be found at call numbers starting with AN and AM.
Bound journals (2.OG, area B): Here you can find the bound journal volumes from previous years. Journals for Library and Information Science can be found at call numbers starting with AN and AM. Journals in general are for reference only, but most of them are available electronically. By now, some of them are exclusively accessible online.
Books on Library and Information Science (2. OG, area A): The collection consists of monographs, anthologies, and bibliographies. The books are shelved according to the Regensburg Classification Scheme (RVK) and their call numbers begin with the letters AM and AN. For an review of the meaning of the individual classification marks consult the website of the Regensburg Classification Scheme. If not labeled as a reference book by a yellow sticker (“Präsenz”), these books can be checked out.
Books on Computer Science (5. OG, area A): Technical aspects of Library and particularly Information Science (such as semantic web, data mining, linked data etc.) are covered in the Computer Science section on the 5th floor. These books can be checked out as well. The call numbers begin with the letters SQ-SU.
