Our Services for Parents and Children

You want to visit the library accompanied by your children? This page gives an overview of the services we offer for parents and children.

Parent-Child-Room with Workstations

• Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum (7th floor): "Berliner Volksbank Kinderstube" with an integrated playing area. For access, please consult the security staff in the foyer (ground floor) for a keycard .
• BL Campus Nord (room 2.27): freely accessible

Freely-Accessible Kids' Corner

• BL Foreign Languages/Literatures / Centre for British Studies (2nd floor)
• Science BL in the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum (next to the Textbook Collection) (German information)

Workstations in the Parent-Child-Area

• Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum: 11 work stations, 3 of them with a PC
• Science BL in the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum: 1 work station with a PC
• BL Campus Nord: 1 work station

Diaper-Changing Room

Please bring your own changing mat.

• Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum: 7th floor near the parent-child room and in the basement (UG 1.07, via elevator on the Western side). Please ask the security staff for a key to the room in the basement.
• Science BL in the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum: ground floor (EG), Foyer (first-aid room next to the lecture room). Please ask for a key at the information desks.
• BL Campus Nord: ground floor (EG).

High Chairs

• Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum (parent-child area)
• Science BL in the Erwin-Schrödinger-Zentrum (parent-child area)

Nursing Rooms

Please consult the information desk. We will find a suitable place for you.

Every branch library mentioned here has books, toys,
 and drawing material either readily available or upon demand. Pushchairs and baby buggies may be taken into the library.
